1999Nothing hurts

“The day I tried to numb myself and wanted to listen to my blood-stream, hmmm, fell to the floor, heard the sound and ahhh did not feel any pain, everything just happened and I was the coolest insect around, nobody could harm me, and if I harmed myself, I did it just to experiment on the facts of life.”

Once the body has been brought to the point of breakdown as a result of a deliberate overload, the person who belongs to it collapses in happy, empty exhaustion and does not move. Thoughts begin to flow.  We are our own Crash Test Dummies and experiment with our own endurance, putting ourselves in extreme situations, allowing ourselves no rest, trying to maximize our performance and progress slowly into a pain-free space.
