»Richter practices the self- and world-interrogation of the overburdened freelancer with such a capacity for suffering that one wonders whether he knows anyone else at all.«

Crossing the boundaries between theatre, dance, and concert: as author and director, Falk Richter develops theatre projects based on his own texts in collaboration with an ensemble of musicians, actors, and dancers. ZWEI UHR NACHTS (TWO A.M.) begins in moments of restlessness, insomnia, and inner urgency. These are moments when latent existential crises break through, when fundamental questions erupt into consciousness and wear at the soul—moments that trigger a search for the “other,” the “real” life.

How do obsessive demands for self-optimization, increasing pressure to perform, and the constant expectation of total identification with one’s job affect our human relationships? What defines those situations and encounters in which we feel authentic and alive rather than externally controlled and empty? What alternative concepts of work, life, and relationships exist?
